Organization:-
It is composed of the group of people who are working together
for attaining the common goal. Working with delegation and coordination is required
among the people to achieve its organizational goal.
It is a field of study that investigates the impact that
individuals, groups and structure have on behavior within organizations, for
the purpose of applying such knowledge towards improving an organization’s
effectiveness.
It studies the behavior of an individual in their organizational
roles. It has helped in influencing
various developments in terms of disciplines which include sociology,
economic, psychology and anthropology.

focuses on the three main aspects of the behavior i.e. groups, structure and
individuals.

It is the
study of people, what they do in the organization and the behavior of an
individual I an organization which affects their performance.

It also
tells us how organization can motivate their employees and also increasing
their performance which benefit the organization.

Maintaining
the inter-relationship with the employees and trusting them is important for
organizations to do so.

Every
individual is unique in one or the other way which speaks of their performance
and experiences, and therefore organizations need to understand that they
should try to motivate their employees and help them to build potential goal.

provides the flexibility to the employees and to present their opinions and
suggestions.

helps in good productivity which will affect the well-being of the organization
and employees as well.

leaders who have to deal with the people and align them towards the main goal.
§ Helps in Managing Human Resources à it helps in developing skills related to work and in what ways
can those skills be implemented in the organisation without any absenteeism,
lack of motivation or any other inefficiencies. It increases the productivity
of the people working within the organisation.
§ For overall development à OB not just focuses on achieving organisation goals but also it
focuses on the employee well-being. It takes care of its employees and make
sure they are fully satisfied with their job. With this employee can also self-develop
in the organisation and can work on better opportunities.
§ Predicting Human Behaviour à While working in an organisation you have to coordinate with
your colleagues so that everyone is on the same page but human behaviour is
quite unpredictable. Everyone has different opinions and it varies with person
to person. Not everyone is right nor wrong it’s just the perception to see
things differently is what employee lack sometimes. For that the study of OB is
necessary so that even if you are working in any department it is important to
predict the human behaviour of your employees so that there are no clashes
amongst them and to make sure that the work is not being affected.
§ Humanly approach rather than technical à OB is much follows a humanistic approach because it is about the employee emotions and job satisfaction which cannot be measured in terms of numbers. It’s important to identify the problems, evaluate them and draw a proper solution so they do not feel demotivated and less valued.

But
some or the other way the employee belonging to a particular field has to
somehow manage the team under them and plan the things such that the team could
achieve the common goal as a whole. This could be done with the study of OB. So
basically “OB is a field of study that investigates the impact that

the purpose of applying such knowledge towards improving an organization’s
effectiveness.”
It involves – motivation, change process, leader behaviour and
power, conflict and negotiation, interpersonal communication, etc. and these
are some of the areas where every manager should be aware about so that they
can carry out their work smoothly. OB basically is a deep study in human
resources field but every other department can imbibe the OB skills to work
smoothly in their department. Having the basic concepts of OB can also make the
work easier for the managers because they can easily adapt themselves in the
different organisations.
No matter in which field you work in, the employee exists
everywhere, and where there are employees there or lot of different opinions,
suggestions, different working styles, etc. this could create clashes, chaos,
may leads to dissatisfaction amongst employees or with the organisation, so to
prevent any clashes it’s important to dive in the field of OB so that every
single manager can deal with such situations despite of his/her working area.
Now the global competition has increased and there is diverse
workforce it’s important to keep them together and on the same track along with
that it’s important to cope up with instant changes in the environment. With
these changes the opportunities for the employees have grown and they can shift
themselves to one organisation to another if they do not feel satisfied. So for
the organisation it is really important to make sure that proper compensation,
benefits, perks and is being received by them so they feel more motivated to
work and make sure of taking care of them with more humanistic approach.
Different people with different cultures might be difficult to
handle, even if it is your boss, co-worker, juniors, etc. what is right
according to you might not be right for them or vice-versa, or the way you
speak or express might be different from others which may not be appealing to
others, so in this case OB can work for anyone to handle such situations in the
organisation.
