India alone contributed 28% to Honda's global two-wheeler sales and became the number one contributor to Honda's two-wheeler business. Honda claims it controlled 59 % of the scooter and 30% in overall two wheeler market in India. Honda two wheeler is growing at the pace of 19% YOY. Honda is incrasing scooterization in India and leading the change. Honda is more focusing on scooter than motorcycle. Honda has added one more product in its scooter segment. Honda CLIQUE Only Honda, as the market leader in automatic scooters with its economies of scale, can bring this kind of disruption in the 100-110cc segment. Clique is targeted to the customers who wants scooter at less price, mobility, storage or goods carrying capacity. It is least priced from Honda scooter. Clique seems to be inspired from Maxi Scooter ( A maxi-scooter or touring scooter is a large scooter, with engines ranging in size from 250 to 850 cc (15 to 52 cu in), and using larger frames than normal scooters.) as Maxi-scooters are not offered in india.
